MS Exchange Server Web Interface and VISTA

I cannot respond or forward emails from the web interface of MS Exchange Server.  I can no longer type anything in the text box, and can find no way to change it.  I am ready to DUMP VISTA.

Do you mean Outlook 2003 Web Access (OWA)? Which browser? Internet Explorer 7? FireFox? Flock? Maxthon? Opera? etc.

Add the site of the OWA URL to your Trusted Sites.

My University uses the Exchange Server for Email.  There is a web access site for the server so that we can log in for email anywhere.  It is on a secure server, https, and I have already put it in my trusted sites.  I can read emails.  But, if i forward, reply or send an original, the text entry box is not accessible.  It actually has the little red square with an x in it.

I am using IE 7.0.6.  I also use 7.0.6 on another, older laptop with XP Pro.  No problems.

VISTA is slower and harder to use than XP.  I dont know how anyone who is a neophyte with computers can ever figure out how to use anything on a PC with current software. More bloat, all the time seems to be the mode for MS anymore.

The newbies know nothing but Vista so there is not as much of a learning curve as it would be for an XP user.  Try truning off the phising filter in IE7.  Vista is not the problem.

I use Vista and IE7 to access OWA every single day with no issues at all.  Check your IE security settings.  It has to be in there...

Turned off phishing, no difference.  OWA is in my trusted sites, no difference. I would argue that Vista IS the problem since i have the same version of IE running in both XP and Vista and the problem is only in Vista.

I will keep looking.

It has to be a security setting within IE since Vista is not interacting with the web site, IE 7 is.

Well, whatever the problem was, I fixed it - by swithing to Firefox.  All is well now.  I turned off ALL security in IE, to no avail.  It amazing that three microsoft applications cannot work together effectively!

People wanted Security and this is what they get.  Firefox is working beacsue it is a lot "dumber than IE".  It can afford to be since it is not tied to the OS.

I agree FF is dumber.  I would rather use IE for MS OWA.  But until I figure out how to do so, dumber is better!

Thanks to all for the suggestions!
