amoreyou,

Do a search for normal.dot. Right-click and delete all occurrences found. When you restart Word it will generate a new normal template and should correct the problem.

Hi Denny!  thanks for your quick response.  I brought up normal.dot's home page, where do I right click and delete all occurrences.  I must explain that I do not have a lot of experience that is why I am asking these questions. I am always amazed with the helpful information I receive on the forum. Someday I will be in a position to return all the help I have received.

Denny, I am embarrassed to be asking, but what file name, are you talking about normal.dot home page or MS Word.  I don't have a file open, where will I find the name?.

I believe he wants you to use the "search option on your system" and look for the file in question.

amoreyou,

Right-click on the file name. A context menu will appear which has "Delete" as one of its options.

Hi Calvin!,  thanks for jumping in, I am helpless without the help from the forum.  I followed Denny's directions but do not have time to check it out right now.  Good Day.
