mscoree.dll error on Dell softwares
Hello,
I recently bought a Dell Studio XPS 8100 and the pre-installed softwares don't work anymore (dell dock, dell datasafe ...)
They return the error :
dell_soft.exe - bad Image
C:\Windows\system32\mscoree.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or software vendor for support.
I tried to fix it: The dll seems to come from .Net Framework. But Reinstalling it or installing a newer version did not work.
I cannot suppress the dll as W7 tells I must have an authorisation for this.
Their are no older version available in the window properties.
Question: how could the dll be suppressed or how to reinstall it ?
TIA
F

Hi,
Finally I have restored the original configuration.
3 days lost trying to solve the issue with those Dell softs. Last evening lost in restoring the config. My week-end lost in resinstalling all my personnal softwares... :emotion-12:
Very desapointed, I had bought this PC from Dell thinking I could avoid this kind of issue. My next PC will be another brand not as expensive as this one, but at least I will know strait away that I will have to restore the system from the begining with this kind of issue. :emotion-7:
Cheers
