MSNBC Web Page Displays Incorrectly

Since MSNBC changed their web page last week, the page no longer displays correctly.  Alongside the left hand navigation menu, the page is white, instead of displaying the current news picture.  Everything is displayed along the left side of the screen, rather than with some items being displayed side by side, as it should be.  The page displays properly on my laptop.

Dimension 4600

P4 2.66 Gig

Win XP Home

512 RAM

17 inch Flat Panel display

Any ideas??

Thanks.

Basically they messed up.  Wait a week, and if it doesn't settle down then contact them.

hdoc,

That page makes heavy use of style sheets. Just to make sure the browser on your desktop system is set to support them (since the page renders properly on your laptop) go to Tool|Internet Options|General tab. Click "Accessibility" and make sure that the first three entries on the window that opens (ignore color, font size, and font color) are unchecked.

If you are having trouble displaying any other pages on that system you might try reinstalling Internet Explorer (procedure here).

I don't think so.  A couple days ago it was messed up, today it is OK.  Also a few says ago they, MSNBC, was reporting have use and were disabling certain capabilities.  My suggestion "Chill out", Wait awhile before reloading anything.

It's been in flux. Most of the time it works properly in IE, but is occasionally messed up. It works fairly well in Netscape 4.79, but it is almost unusable in Netscape 7.01. Works OK in Netscape 7.1 and Mozilla 1.5.

Of course my home page was MSNBC and my browser of choice is Netscape 7.01....
