Hi alice in woonderland ,
You can check the Hard drive of your computer to see if it is an issue with that. To run a diagnostic test on the Hard drive of your computer, you can follow the steps below:-
To run the diagnostics, perform the following steps:-
1. Restart the system.
2. Press F12 at Dell logo to enter the ‘One Time Boot Menu’.
3. Navigate to ‘Diagnostics’ using the Up/Down arrow key and press enter to launch the diagnostics.
4. Write down any error code that you receive during the diagnostics.
In case you get any error code, please make a note of that and if the test passes, that means it is an issue with the operating system of your computer and we may need to reinstall it. I am adding you as a friend; please accept my friend request and send me a private message with the system Service Tag so that I can check the system warranty details and help you further.
Please reply in case you have further questions.
