My Documents thinks it's a picture folder

This is crazy. My Documents believes that it's a pictures folder, My Music also thinks it's a picture folder, but get this: My Pictures think it's not a pictures folder. It seems that the customized option has been disabled for all three, so it can't be changed easily like the other folders, and I don't remember how it got started. I've been looking for a solution for a while, but I couldn't find anything that would solve this.

Anyone's got any solutions? :)

Does your "My Documents", "My Music" Folders have any picture file ? , if so it assumes its a picture Folder.
Similarly does your "My Picture" Folder contain any picture files. ?

Yep, that's what's happening. And yes, I've got hundreds of pictures in my pictures folder, and it just shows it as a regular folder.

If you click on a picture file in "My Pictures" does it open with Windows Picture & FAX Viewer. ?
Similarly click on sound file in "My Music" does it open Windows Media Palyer. ?

You could try running SFC , which checks protected System Files for corruption & if found replaces them from reinstall..XP CD .
If it prompts for XP CD , hold Shift key while inserting XP CD to stop Auto play.
Use Start > Run & type
sfc  /scannow  (space after sfc)

You could also try Doug Knox fix for file association of  jpg  , mpeg & Directory.

Heh, I unintentionally found a solution. Today, I opened a folder I recently zipped, and it thought it was a picture folder, so I went to My Computer and clicked on view\folder options, and then on the view tab selected "apply to all folders" (to see if it would set all folders back to normal) and that seemed to reset it for My Documents, My Pictures, and My Music and they're now back to being a File, Picture, and Music folder respectively....

Interesting. Thanks for trying to help, tho!
