Try going into "device manager" to see if you have any "errors".

The only thing that comes to my mind is to use your OS disk to do a repair.

Thanks for responding. There are no problems in the device manager folder. Any other suggestions.

I'm not close to my computer right now so I will try using the OS disk. I actually thought about using it, but I wanted to check with the community first. I will let you know if it works.

Thanks so much.

You might try a system file checker. This will check your files and replace missing or corrupt files on your system.

How to run System File Checker

Click on Start then Run. In the Run box, type sfc /scannow and then OK.
Note: space between c and /
You may be asked for your Windows CD, if asked insert it

cybergal29,

Gdipluss.dll is not a Windows system file nor is it a part of Windows XP so it is doubtful that either a repair reinstallation or running system file checker is likely to correct the problem that it is causing.

Could it be Gdiplus.dll, which is in my WinXP C:\windows\system32 folder?

Hi Denny,

Your right the other sugguestions did not fix the problem, but it was worth a try. What is the best way to take care of this issue. I have a lot of family pictures that I don't want to lose.

cybergal29,

What is the exact wording of the error you receive? (I have three different versions of gdiplus.dll on my system and none is in either system32 or dllcache which would be used to replace a corrupted one in system32.)

Denny,

I think there are two problems located in my pictures error report. "ImapiRoxPS.dll, Version all "0's, File & Prod vs are all zero's. The error report comes up with.
AppName: explorer.exe
AppVer: 6.0.2900.2180
ModName: gdiplus.dll
Modver: 5.1.3102.2180
Offset: 0004e301

Very frustating. I hope this helps.

Can you copy the entire file (without opening it) to a disk?

Yes. I think I'm going to be backing up quite a bit of information on my machine since I use it mostly for my business. I will wait to see if any one may have a better solution though.

Thanks for the help.
