Need help please


Hi every body,

I have problem in my computer that when I turn my PC on it make sound like
emergency car and this  message shows in the screen

The CPU was previously shutdown due to thermal event (Overheating)

Press < F12> if you want to boot from network.

and then I change my CPU fan to a newer one and the message is preview again
please help me as soon as possible!!!:smileysad:

If you swapped out the CPU fan with an equivalent Dell fan, then this message may simply be left over from the previous event. Boot to system setup (F2 at the blue Dell logo) and there should be a place to reset this and re-enable HT or dual channel.

Ceasar,
You may need to remove the processor and check and clean the heat sink. Some heat sinks have a paste that has been applied to the interface between the processor and the heat sink and may have deteriorated. Go to a good electronics store and purchase the heat sink paste and reapply. Be careful not to over apply. Check the air path and make sure it is free from any debree.
Make sure the area that you have your PC in has plenty of good ventilation, it doesn't take long for heat to build up in a closed area.
After you do this an before you boot up, follow the set up recommendations from your previous message.
