Yes, DLA is part of Sonic. Sonic is the CD burning software that Dell now provides.
You must have an older version of Roxio if it doesn't support the drive. Have you tried downloading the updates from the Roxio site and see if that helps. Roxio Easy CD Creator 5 Platinum, when first installed will always give a "drive not found" or "no supported drives" until the updates from the Roxio site are installed - even on older CD burner drives.
If you have Roxio V6 or the current V7 they should support the drive, but V6, too, may require the updates.
