Need Recovery/start up Disk
I need a recovery disk and probably a start-up disk for a Dell L433c. Does anyone know where I can obtain them? The stickers on the front indicate it was made for either Win NT or 2000.
Thanks, 2Right

2Right,
Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.
You can download the Dell bootable disk from the download site above and drivers for this system. The boot disk is named diagft32.exe. As for the operating system, you can use any retail version of windows that you want to on this system. Dell does not provide the software that came with the system outside of a limited time frame of which this system is well outside of.

Sorry Les, I was looking for a download site instead of a tab. I went through it, but the machine I am using is not the one I need the disk for. So, is there some way to purchase a Recovery Disk, and there are different devices to chose from, how do figure which one I need?
Thanks//2Right

2Right,
Dell does not sell recovery disks. You will need to purchase a retail copy of the software that you want to install on this system. If you provide the service tag number for the system that you are needing drivers for we can provide you with more information on what is installed in the system that you will need drivers for.

Les:
When I turn the machine on I get a blank screen with a prompt that says "insert disk into disk driver". So, I am thinking that (as with my Compaq) I could use a Recovery Disk to reset it to factory settings. Not possible? Just for kicks I inserted my Win Me start-up disk, and it displayed it perfectly, but ofcourse that disk would not operate the OS (Win NIT) in the Dell. Alternative? (scrap it for parts?)
Thanks again//2Right
