I purchased a B-110 desktop, and got the free 90 day trial for Microsoft Office Word 2003. The 90 days has run out, and it will cost $149 to purchase that program. Are there any good programs out there that cost less money?

Keep in mind that it's Office, not just Word... Office for Students and Teachers, good for 3 computers, $125 or less.
i got student and teacher for 100 odd quid here in the uk and it had a voucher to get access for 30 euros - basically meaning i got office pro for like 1/3 of the price
But student and teacher is illegal unless your student or a teacher or a member of a family of one - it lets you install on 3 pcs tho
OpenOffice is opensource (Free) office suite with good (word compatible) word processor, excel compatible spreadsheet and a databse app
