None of it is specifically necessary for your tasks.  64bit may be big eventually, but it will be a while.

In general, wait as long as you can -- you'll always get more for cheaper later

You should be interested in 64-bit in 2-3 years. Many people in the tech world will begin to migrate onto 64-bit. Right now it is of no use (and XP64 isn't all that great either)

SLI is only for hardcore geeky gamers that cry and get angry over 0.1666667 second lags. It allows the graphic processing power to be doubled because two identical cards are running
 
I don't have a clear understanding of what dual core is but I believe it is similar to HyperThreading that works in ALL situations. Right now HyperThreading is only good for apps designed for HT.
