Thanks for the reply, I tried that but they said I needed to get the programs online, they couldn't sent me any. I need to find the 'recovery' downloads.
I agree with Europa303. I have seen Office 2003 in a download folder on a Dell 4550. No idea how it got there. Suspect it may have been the 60-day trial download (Recommended for broadband users only) from Microsoft. Link is here:
If you are still under warranty (and even if you are not) try requesting the necessary CDs using chat as indicated
here. Chat is available only if you purchased your computer through Dell's Home/Home Business area.
Thank you but Dell in India called me back to see if everything was alright and when I told her about the CD's, and after getting her managers approval, said she will be sending me the MS Office CD's within 5 days time. I am so pleased with their customer support!!
