New modem needed for AOL 9

Hi

I hope I'm in the right forum, sorry if I'm not!

I've got a 5 year old Dell Dimension 4500 with Windows XP (still working great!), I'm in the UK and use AOL 9 with broadband. My trusted good old BT Voyager 105 modem is dead (got trodden on). I'm not sure they sell those over here any more. Does anybody know what kind of replacement modem I can get and where from please?  What I mean is do I need to get another BT Voyager 105 one or could any other do and would they be compatible with my old Dell and AOL? (I want a USB one, not wireless)

Cheers!

Any brand USB modem that's compatible with your version of Windows should work fine with your PC. There shouldn't be any particular problems with AOL either.

Just be sure to uninstall the software and drivers for the old modem before installing the new one. Follow installation instructions for the new one. You may have to install its drivers before you connect the modem to the PC for the first time, but follow the instructions that come with it.

Don't believe you're in the US, so can't recommend any specific dealers.
