NLTDR is missing
Ive been instructed to post this problem here
Basically i installed McAphee onto the home computer which runs on windows xp
I then unistalled the old blueyonder instant support tool and quick time applications as i dont use them.
i restarted my computer and the following message has appeared
"NLTDR is missing, press any key to restart"
I do that then this message appears:
"Boot failure, insert system disc"
I do not have any system discs or floppy disks. I dont have any windows installation discs either.
Can any one help?? Is there anyway of avoiding a complete hard-disk wipe??
Thanks gemma

At this point you will need a system or windows disk. Even if you were to wipe the hd you would need a windows disk to reload the os.
Now you can borrow a disk from a friend to attemp a repair reinstall.
you can also go here and request a set of backup disks from Dell.
Your error message is one that cannot be corrected without some sort of OS disk
