No restore points in System Restore

This morning I had a computer problem and tried doing a System Restore. At first, it wouldn't even open. When I got it open it said "There are no restore points for this computer." This horrified me, because it says in the help files that the system sets restore points every 24 hours. I manually set a restore point. Then I went back later and got the same message about there being no restore points for this computer.

Help.

SEMANA,

That can happen when the restore database is corrupted. Disable system restore (Start|Control Panel|System|System Restore tab) and reboot. Go back and endable system restore again. Create a manual restore point and see if you are able to restore to it, to verify that the feature is working properly.
