But you could try Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Delete keys together) then "File" > New Task & type explorer.exe
control panel
When Control Panel opens "Switch to Classic view" (upper left) then click on "Taskbar and Start Menu" Icon to display Properties
& remove tick from "Auto-hide the Taskbar"
---------------------------
You could also right click on Control Panel "Taskbar and Start Menu" & Create Shortcut (on Desktop) in case it starts again with Taskbar hidden.

Hey, thanks for your help. That explorer.exe works just fine...and looks like im going to have to be using that way for a while, due the fact that when I access control panel and select taskbar and menu option it doesnt work.....I can sit here clicking the option all day and it wont do anything. I even rebooted. My next step is to restart in safemode and see if I can get the option to work there.
I dont know why it wont work for some reason

Hi,
Upon starting up the computer, no taskbar, start button or icons show on screen...only blue. Can't access taskbar/start button in control panel either. Just getting to the control panel is hard, trying to figure it out. Please help.
Thank you
