Correct me if I'm wrong....Your subscription is expired right ?? Well, you need to pay some amount for the continuing of using the Norton and get the latest update and such ... thus, you still may use it and get the limited update and protection...
NAV 2002 is remarkably trouble free, especially under Windows XP. Truth to tell, you'll probably wind up getting much better "support" by using resources such as Google and this forum than you'll ever get from Symantec, particularly if you upgrade to 2004, which is so full of bugs and glitches it isn't even funny.
NAV 2003 is pretty darn good as well, and it's still available here:
