Norton Antivirus 2004

I'm currently using NAV 2003 and I'm about a month away from my subscription ending. I have not seen very good reviews with NAV 2004.

Is this worth the upgrade?

Anyone have problems? No problems?

Also, I looked for the "Manual" uninstall instruction for NAV 2003 on Symantec's support site and couldn't find any. Did you?

Thanks in advance,

Hi Bill:

To manually remove NAV, see Symantic's
instructions here. (Section 1.)

Bill,

Personally I would not upgrade to NAV 2004 because of all the usual problems people are having with it.  Seems every new version of NAV opens up a bunch more problems.  About the time they get them sorted out, they release another buggy version.  If NAV 2003 is running good, I would just get another subscription.  IF NAV 2003 is not running good, I would dump it when the subscription runs out and get something else like NOD32 or Panda.

Just my opinion which others will disagree with.

I would not disagree with dumping Norton, did it in 2000, never going back. Try my link below for a list of possible AV's, written by delltalk regular ryri. Link below.

Hi Yellowhammer,

My free 90 day trial period is running out on NAV 2003.  Can I just pay to keep that so it will continue to update, protect my E-mails, etc., and not get the 2004 NAV?

Thank you in advance for you help,

Sincerely,

Elizabeth
