"Notify Alert.exe-Apllication Error"
Hi,
Every couple of days, after I turn on my pc, a box comes up stating "Notify Alert.exe-Apllication Error", then in the box it says "The application failed to initialize properly(0xc0000135) Click on OK to terminate" Does anybody know how I can get rid of this application or whatever it is bringing this messege to come up? I have a Dimension 2350, windows XP.

Did anybody have a solution to this problem. I am getting sick of the pop up error message and don't want to format my hard disk. Does anybody know if there is some specific software that may be causing this problem. I have Inspiron 8200 with win xp home edition OS.

I too suffered for the longest time with this same aggravating popup...but no more!
I figured this out and i am happy to share it.
Here is what i did to stop the popup on my own computer.
First:
Go to any reputable download website such as dwnload.com, etc.
Second:
Download this program for free: Startup Control Panel 2.6
Third:
After installation, go to your control panel.
4. change the view to classic if it isn't already.
(the only reason i suggest this is because i didn't take the time looking for it in the other view)
5. open up the startup file (should be an icon of a computer)
6. go to the HKLM / Run tab.
7. scroll down till you find the Program: DWLClient.
c:\Program Files\Common Files\Dell\EUSW\Support.exe
8. uncheck the box on the left hand side. the program continues to remain in the list, it is just no longer selected to run on startup.
9. you're finished. now unless you're busy doing something else, log out and then log back in again, there should be no popup. savvy?
hope it helps.
