ntuser.dat file

I have windows Xp installed on both my desktop and laptop.

They are both set up the same, files and programs.

When I go to the Documents and setting folder (on desktop) on the C: drive there is listed:

All Users

All Users.Windows

Derek Ellis.14ED0AA14 <-----

Derek and Tiena

Now my laptop C: drive has the following

All Users

All Users.Windows

Derek and Tiena

What is the the arrow is pointing to on my desktop that is not listed on the laptop? I cannot seem to get rid of it, as it seems to be a system file. If my desktop has it, why doesn't my laptop?

I do know that these are user files where all the files are stored. I moved the files to the Derek and Tiena folder and set the system to access that. There is only one file left in this folder.

All that is left if the folder is a file called ntuser.dat. All I want to do is either move or delete (prefer to move) and delete this extra file. Its driving me nuts, as I try to keep my desktop and laptop systems running the same.
