Numerous software problems

I have a new XPS 400 with Windows MCE.  Since receiving it, I have had nothing but problems with installations from my old Dimension 8300 Windows XP Home machine.  Here are some:

-Cannot load drivers for Palm Treo 650.  Unable to use USB Hot Synch. 

-Logitech 4000 video would not load.  Have it now working however.

-Logitech Harmony Remote will  not recognize the device.

-Windows Media Player will not play my XM Radio account, just says open.

 

I sometimes see programs trying to close like idriver.exe, etc. but am not smart enough to figure out what steps to take.  At this time getting my Palm device to hot synch would be helpful.  Is this problem unique?
