Optimum & Windows XP Questions
Ladies & Gentlemen,
1. When I first go into my e-mail, a pop-up window used to come up with my internet ID & it would ask me to enter my password. That does not happen anymore. How can I get that pop-up window back, so I can enter my e-mail password every time I initially sign on into my mail folder ?
2. When I start typing any e-mail, the text color is blue, so I have to change it every time to black (using the top taskbar) before I send an e-mail. How do I get that to be black (default) text all the time, instead of it being automatically blue text ?
3. How can I get my mail to be automatically replicated ? Every time I go into my mail, I have to select the top task bar to receive new e-mails. Shouldn't it be automatic to receive e-mails even when I'm signed-off optimum on-line ? So as soon as I sign-on again, my new e-mails are already in my inbox ?
4. How do I set a computer lock when I'm away from my desk, so no one can see my screen ? Then when I return, I would have to type in a password in order to access optimum on-line. I tried a few times to develop a screensaver for a computer lock, using my password, but it did not work & I had to exit my standard optimum on-line mail screen, then go back in. Is there a way to set the computer lock, so no one can see my screen when I'm away ?
5. Can you explain why this occurs & how to rectify it ? Microsoft Office Outlook pop-up states - “Can’t create file ‘xxxxxx.doc’. Right click the folder you want to create the file in and then click properties on the shortcut menu to check your permissions for the folder”.
