Outlook 2003 toolbar dividers

Hi folks,

I was hoping someone might be able to tell me how to add button dividers to cutomized toolbars.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Dave, I am not sure what your are trying to do. If you want to customize your toolbar in Outlook Express right click on an empty space in the toolbar and click on Customize.  I f this is not what you want to do post back with more information.

I want to create some of my own toolbars in Outlook 2003, which I have figured out how to do with the exception of adding the little grey "divider" lines that are between some of the groups of buttons on the predefined Outlook toolbars.  It's these divider lines that I am interested in learning how to create or add to my own customized toolbars.

Hi Dave,  I now see /understand what you are trying to do. Sorry I just looked at Outlook and it is not very obvious how one would do this or if it can be done at all. Perhaps someone will join this thread with an answer for you.

Yeah, I know what you mean.  I didn't find anything useful on the MS website either.  I found a couple hits via google but they all wanted money.  I'm not that desperate yet.

Thanks for getting back to me.

Add whatever buttons you wish to the toolbar and arrange them in the order that you wish. Then (while still in Customize mode) RIGHT click the icon (button) immediately to the right of where you want the divider line displayed and click "Begin a Group".

Already tried all of that.  There's nothing there about button dividers that I saw.

Thanks anyway.

PiroNaut, Try this first; open Outlook, click View/Toolbars/customize and a box will open. choose what you want to add.  You can also click Outlook help and search for what you want.

Amen!  I did not realize you wanted dividers as well as buttons, sorry to have not included the extra information.  How to add dividers is clearly explained in Outlook help.

Awesome!

You would think something so simple would by easier to find in MS help/support or on the internet in general.  I'm also surprised that it's not mention in any of the Outlook Help files that I've read about creating toolbars.

Thank you VERY much Rebel9.

Yes - it's not well documented or easy to find is it?
