Outlook Express 6 error message

I get the following error message when I start my outlook express:The host pop server could not be found.Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly.Protocol:Pop3,port: 110,Secure:(SLL): No Socket Error:11004,Error Number:0x800ccc0D.  I went through the procedure with my internet provider and I do have connectivity to the server. I am able to get e-mail on their page. This problem is exclusive with Outlook Express. I tried turning off e-mail scan in my Norton but same error message. Thanks for any help...
