Outlook Express 6 - saving sent e-mails and attachments

I'm using Outlook Express 6

I'm having a problem with OE 6.  The messages in my out box show "sendng" but the message does not go so I resend it then the orginal messages goes.  An Error box pops up saying there is an error but there are not Details listed.  All the e-mails eventually go to the recipient.

My internet provider suggested that I uninstall OE 6 and reinstall it.

I have over 100 e-mail messages in my sent and trash folder that I refer back to for reference.  Some of the e-mails have attachments and some do not.

Is there a way to save the e-mails in both folders.  I need the messages and attachments.

Can I copy them to a CD or create a folder in "My Documents" and copy the e-mail and attachments there.

Do I have to copy each individual message or can I select all then copy?

Thank you!

You can try this, Make a folder on your desktop called Email, then open OE6 and highlight the messages you want to save and drag them to the folder you made on the desktop and see if it copies them there. I used to do this with XP but the function stopped after SP2 was installed :-( . If this method doesn't work then you can also select 1 email and then do "File" "save as" and select file type as .eml and save then to a folder of choice. This very slow if you have many. Another way is to "create mail" and then select the emails you want to save and drag then to this open email, it will attach them to the email, may take a while if you have many emails, now once you have all the emails attached to this new message, go to 'file" "save as" in the new email you created and save then as .eml file type, give the file a name, and and save.  Now all your messages are saved as one email with attachments. Now when you need access to these emails just go to the folder where you saved the .eml file and double click it, it may take a wile to open if there are many messages attached, then you can scroll through the attachments in this email message to find the one you want. Hope this helped.
