Outlook Express Closes When selecting new email
I just agreed to a Windows XP Home upgrade and now I am finding the Outlook Express is very "unstable". I select a new email and Outlook Express immediately closes. I reopen it and get a message that Outlook Express has closed abnormally and if if want to view the message to "click here". I do that and OE closes again. This behavior has developed only after I had agreed to the latest update. Now I do not know how to back up and get to the prior and more stable "version" of Windows. Suggestions/help....Thanks!

Did the problem start when you upgraded or with an update? If you upgraded your version of Windows from another operating system to Windows XP and elected to save your prior system settings, you can uninstall Windows XP from Add/Remove Programs. If the problem began when you installed a Windows Update you need to provide more information (which update was involved)? If it was caused by an update you can use System Restore to return to a state prior to installation of the update.
In the event you upgraded over the old operating system the best solution to the problem is to back up your perishable data and do a clean install of Windows XP.
