When you get that message to send the report to Microsoft, click on the link to show details of the error report. Then, note the AppName and ModName involved in the error and report it here.
Unfortunatley that error message is not very useful. We are going to have to look for generic fixes to the problem. Currently, most of the problems being encountered by users these days are internet parasites, spyware, and malware, that gets downloaded to a computer, sometimes with the user's permission, sometimes not. See the message from ChrisRLG at the top of the Virus Information and Removal forum:
Follow the directions to download, update, and run the first three programs listed in Chris's message and let them remove all of the garbage they find. Then, if necessary continue following the instructions for HijackThis as listed in the message.

Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
It goes on and asks me if I want to send a report to MS which I have done close to a few hundred times.
