outlook express not working

I have a Dimension 4600 with Win XP and I'm having problems receiving mail with my outlook express.
 
This is the error I receive:
 
There was a problem loggin onto your mail server.  Your password was rejected.  -ERR invalid user name or password.  Port 110 Secure SSL: No, Server Error 0x800CCC90  Error.Number. 0x800CCC92
 
I've double checked and made sure the password info is correct, but it's still not workin' properly.  Every now and then, 1-2 messages will appear, but I know there are still tons that haven't come through.
 
Do you think my McAfee Spamkiller is causing the problem?  Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks for using the Dell Community Forum.

I would recommend that you first contact your ISP and see what they can tell you from their end.

I already did.  Adelphia said everythings okay on there end...so now what?

Try disabling the spamkiller and see if that does work.
