outlook express security
I have IE outlook express mail. I have checked the box in security to "not let me open anything that might contain a virus......" Usually then I am unable to open any attachments...but this is not working. The box is checked yet I can still open attachments. I rebooted the computer and tried it again but still attachments can be opened. Any thoughts on what to do next? I have Mcafee antivirus, spybot, and adaware. I have XP.

First, you cannot depend on this feature to keep your computer virus or trojan free, so you're smart to keep your A/V program up to date.
Usually, OE will block only certain attachments based soley on their file extension (exe, com, url, etc.). As you can see, this is hardly a fool-proof procedure. But if your A/V is scsanning mail, which it should be doing, you should not worry.
