Outlook Express
After downloading and installing Adware program, my Outlook Express will not log on and I get the following error message: There was a problem logging onto your mail server. Your Password was rejected. Account: 'Kurts Kardz', Server: 'mail.comcast.net', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR directory status: BAD PASSWORD', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92. My password is correct. Any suggestions?

Are you also running Zone Alarm? If so, disable it and try again. I have found that ZA caused my e-mail account to behave like that. Upon uninstall / reinstall of ZA fixed it. Just a possibility.

I've never heard of AdAware causing an e-mail problem (although there is a first for everything). The AdAware, free version, does not have any interaction with e-mail, or even internet operations.
I don't think it would be ZoneAlarm, if it was configured incorrectly you wouldn't be able to access the internet with the application and apparently you are accessing the internet or you wouldn't be getting the error(s) that you are getting.
Sometimes that error will come up and it's not you, but instead a problem at the ISP. Have you checked to see if the ISP is having (or had) an e-mail problem?
Finally, since you installed AdAware you are obviously concerned with spyware. I don't know if there is any spyware that can cause the e-mail problems but make sure you do a full spyware scan. Also do a full anti-virus scan and make sure your antivirus is up to date, an outdated antivirus is basically useless.

You may simply need to reset your TCP/IP stack. To do this go to Start|Run, type cmd and click OK. At the command prompt type netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt and .
