Password

I have a Dell Latitude D510 laptop that I purchased used, I've been trying to install a disk on it and it wont let me. It's asking for a Admin Password, well I tried calling the people I got it from and they have moved. So I'm stuck, can you please help me?

If you still have your warrinty on it, then contact Dell Support.  Other than that, go to Admid options, and maybe you can find a way to fix it from there.

If you do not have the password or did not transfer ownership with Dell, then you are out of luck

These types of passwords on Dell and other Notebooks are to protect laptops when they are Lost or Stolen, Sorry.

Anyone legitimately selling a Laptop would have cleared this password before doing so.

Sounds like you need to track down the person who sold it to you and either get the password or your money back.
