PC Diagnostics won't install
I have an Inspiron N7010 running Windows 7 64bit. I have been having considerable slowdown issues and running a variety of anti-malware and virus scanning have been unable to find any virus or malware causing the issue.
I have tried to install the Dell PC Diagnostics program but it starts but never completes installation.
Any suggestions?

Chesil,
Try the instructions at...
Uninstall Dell Support Center
Instructions there to reinstall.

Have you ran the diagnostics at BIOS?
See here: http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/kcs/document?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&docid=DSN_A9E3A15597A04AFBB02EE16785D39C5C&isLegacy=true

Hello Chesil,
The error you are seeing is for the updater program. Could you please gather the log files and send them to me, to be analyzed by our engineering team?
You can get to the files using the following commands:
Press the windows key and the R key at the same time to launch the run window
Type %appdata%\PCDr An installer and Update directory should be displayed.
In each directory there is a logs directory, if you could zip these up and send them to us for review, we can assist in troubleshooting the problem. Please send them to support@pc-doctor.com care of James B.
I will post again when I receive the files and a follow-up when I get more information from our engineering team.

Paul,
I am glad to hear that you were able to get the software installed. I hope that you are able to resolve the speed problem you mentioned.
Regards,
Chesil

James, I eventually did both of your suggestions and then managed the installation. My AV software is Max Secure AV plus.
Sadly, it hasn't solved my speed problem but at least I know it isn't a hardware issue.
Thank you very much for your assistance, I appreciate it very much.
Paul
