pc restore - F8 boot menu missing "Repair Your Computer" option
Hello everyone,
I have a Dell Dimension E521 desktop computer that came with Windows Vista Home. I upgraded Home to Business in order to get the computer setup on the company work domain. I now have a need to restore the computer back to Home. The recovery partion is still in place with all of it's data. However, the "Repair Your Computer" option is missing from the F8 boot menu. Is there any way to get the pcrestore.exe to run outside the F8 boot menu? If not is there a way to restore the "Repair Your Computer" option to the F8 boot menu? Thank you for the help! :emotion-2:

Hi Jesse and thank your for replying to my thread. At first glance I thought for sure you had the answer I needed but unfortunitly I get nothing pressing the keys during the boot process. I've tried several times all while seeing the www.dell.com bios post screen with no success. Do you by chance have any other suggestions? Thank you again for you time.

tdugger,
Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.
Using PC Restore
Using Dell PC Restore permanently deletes all data on the hard drive and removes any applications or drivers installed after the computer has been received. If possible, back up the data before using PC Restore. Use PC Restore only if System Restore did not resolve the operating system problem.
Turn on the computer.
If you do not press in time, let the computer finish starting and then restart the computer again.
If you do not want to proceed with PC Restore, click Reboot in the following step.
When prompted, click Finish to reboot the computer.
