PC Restore Problems

Hi Guys, Been having a lot of problems with XP so wanted to do a re-installation. Needless to say
I didn't receive the XP disk (thanks Microsoft :-( ).

Dell suggested I do a PC Restore. However, I've tried it a load of times and it just isn't happening.
I either get a Keyboard failure or it just boots as normal. I've been very careful when pressing the CTRL+F11 key but whenever I get it right, I get Keyboard failure. There doesn't appear to be anything wrong with the keyboard.

I tried a System Restore aswell, but that did not fix my xp problems.

Could any help as Its driving me nuts.

Thanks for any help

Best Regards

Same keyboard I got with the PC. I might try a different one.

I normally waited about 3 seconds before I hit Ctrl+F11 - could this make a difference?

Hi, thats exactly what I've been doing.
When I see  www.dell.com as soon as I turn the PC on - I immedialely press Ctrl+F11 and get the 'Keyboard Failure' issue.

As soon as the Dell screen appears.

CTRL F11 should be pressed immediately upon seeing the Dell screen.

If you're using a different keyboard than what you purchased with the computer, switch it back.  The Dell screen should not be immediate, it should be after a few seconds.
