Personal (named) Document folder points to the wrong folder under C:\Documents and Settings
After installing the current Windows XP MS Framework 3.5 & family update service packs, my personal (named) folder listed under "My Computer" contained only the My Music and My Pictures sample folders and files. This "George P Documents" folder now points to C:\documents and settings\TEMP instead of C:\documents and settings\George P
Apparently, a TEMP folder was added under C:\documents and settings which duplicates the folders under C:\documents and settings\George P. but the C:\documents and settings\TEMP\George P Documents folder only contains the My Music and My Pictures sample folders and files.
Is there a way to redirect the George P Documents folder (under "My Computer") to the correct folder under C:\documents and settings? Would it be safe to delete the C:\documents and settings\TEMP folder as it is an unnecessary duplication?
Tried a System Restore to a time before the Framework update - but it failed.
System is Dell 4700, Windows XP Media Center Ed. SP3, 1 GB RAM This all sounds confusing but I would really appreciate some help.
Thanks, George P.
