Have you tried checking the website for the emulation software? There may be an updated installer, or a patch to fix the problem. It sounds like a corrupted file to me.
I am having them try that. I have seen where the software installs okay, but then when they try to run it, it is necessary to use the compatibility mode. Thanks!!
Most of the tests were on 32-bit machines. We know that our 32-bit hardware will not run on 64-bit machines, but this software just utilizes the NIC that they have, which I assume (uh oh that word) are 64-bit. And the problem is reported to occur when they click on the Setup.exe.. . I do not know if there is compatibility mode for them, but I will know soon.

Well the software is from my company, but that is a good idea. The customer may have copied the original CD. I will ask them to try another download.

CliffES32,
Have you tried installing the ES/TCP software in compatiblity mode on the 64-bit Vista? Were the test machines 32-bit or 64-bit Vista systems?
