Hello!

Well, I do sincerely hope that you at least tried restarting your computer and seeing if it would work correctly. I use Vista Home Premium, and sometimes when I install a new software or driver that might not be fully compatible, the system won't shut down - would say Shutting Down and nothing would happen. In these cases I can't stand it for more than 10 minutes and simply push the power button for 10 secs until laptop is off and then I start it again.

If you already tried being mean to computer by pressing the power button until computer disconnects, and this PLEASE WAIT continues after at least 2 attempts, try using Vista's recovery options, such as one that repairs startups. In this case you need to insert your Vista DVD before Windows starts to load and select Startup repair. See if this will help you.

Sincerely,

Eugene.
