Microsoft Windows Vista

Thank you, one more question. My deminison 8250 had 512mb when new. It now has 256mb left should I add more memory before changing to vista or just buy a new computer.

If I can add to this one how much would it cost aprox?

Vista needs 1 GB of memory at a minimum. It is much happier with 2 GB.

Your computer uses Rambus RDRAM. It is very expensive, so you would spend a lot of money (roughly $600) to meet the minimum requirements for using Vista.

So I would either stick with XP or put the money towards a new computer if you really want Vista.

Thank you so much for your help, guess I will stick with the old deminsion 8250 till she dies. We just had to restore her when we got FIOS put in somehow it killed her. but she is ruuning fine now
