Printer Driver for ME

My brother bought a dell computer and received a printer for free as well. Due to the fact he doesn't need the printer he gave it to me which I very much appreciate....:-))) BUT: My computer has ME and I can't find any ME drivers to install the printer (it's a dell printer - 725). Any idea where to find? May it's important: I'm not living in the US but in Germany and I have a german system.

I don't think Dell inkjet printers are compatible with systems with Win ME. See this. (Click on the "details" tab.)

Printer Driver Will Not Install [ Dell-Branded InkJet Printers ]

Dell™ A920, A940, A960, A964, J740, 922, 924, 942, 944, 810, 725, or 720 printer drivers will not install.

NOTE: Dell inkjet printers are only compatible with the Microsoft® Windows® XP or Microsoft Windows 2000 operating systems.

When installing a printer locally, the printer must be attached, powered on, and in a ready state to be detected by the system. In general, driver install problems may be caused by the following:

  • Conflicting third-party drivers.
  • Conflicting applications.
  • Defective printer.
  • Defective port on the computer.
  • Improper previous installation of drivers.
  • Loose or disconnected cables.
  • Unsupported operating system
