The Sonic CD burning software comes with "DLA" which is the equivalent to InCD.  You can only have one UDF formatting program on your PC or there will be (usually will be) conflicts.  Check to see if DLA is still installed and if it is, uninstall it and see if that fixes InCd.

Thanks so much for getting back to me. i thought I had deinstalled all of the sonic programs there is nothing there if I go to add/remove programs on my computer but when i put a search on for the word dla a  few files showed up.

therefore before i try to delete these could you tell me the following re DLA
What it does?
Or is used for?
Do you need it for any other programs?

thanks again and I value any advise you give me

As mentioned, DLA is the equivalent of InCd - they both do the same thing.

I have definately de-installed all the sonic and dla files and I still cannot load incd properly onto my pc.  I have gone through exactly the same procedure on my old pc ( put sonic on , taken it off and then successfully loaded INCD) so I cannot see what I am doing wrong.  There must be something loaded on the new Dell pc that is stopping me from loading incd successfully on to my system.  Have you got any idea???
