Problem Running e-Bay

When I click "Continue" in selecting "Sell Format" in running eBay Web, my computer goes back to the desktop screen and terminates eBay program right away.  The e-Bay Customer Support suggested to clear  "Cookies", "Cache", and enable JvaScript to solve the problem.  But nothing worked.  My computer is fairly new Dell Dimension 4700C, Window XP, SP2, and using SBC Yahoo DSL.  Does anyone experience similar problem?

I just started experiencing that identical problem today on this computer. I went to another computer, and had no problem. So it does have something to do with a particular configuration. eBay told me that it might be related to spyware, pop-up suppressors, firewall programs, anti-virus programs....yadda yadda yadda.  Basically they are just fishing. If it once worked for you, but now it doesn't, I would try an earlier restore point . I never tried to 'sell' on this computer before, so I don't know how long I have had this problem. I know it occurs as I try to set up an eBay store, and BAM it crashes when I hit continue.

if you are using zone alarm, maybe the problem is caused by some setting(s) in it.. you could try temporarily disabling zone alarm, and using the windows firewall instead, and see if the website will then work for you..

If that doesn't work, try setting the Internet Options, Security to Medium and add www.Ebay.com to the Allowed list of sites in Privacy settings.

Well, folks, I tried everyhting suggested: shut down ZoneAlarm, changed security settings, made eBay a trusted site ( gulp - are you kidding?), dumped cache, cookies, temp files - you name it. All I know is eBay 'sell' setup works on another computer, but not this one. On this one, it crashes out as soon as I hit 'continue' while setting up an eBay store to sell. I guess I'll just use the backup computer and write this off as an unsolved mystery.
