Try doing a System Restore to latest date available before you updated the driver:
click start>help&support
click "undo changes..."
follow prompts and pick last date before you installed that new driver. Personal files will be ok, but any XP updates originally installed after the date used for the restore have to be reinstalled.
And do yourself a favor. If it ain't broke, don't break it! ;)
