Problem with reinstalling Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1
Dimension 2400
Processor Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.40GHz
Processor Speed 2.34 GHz
Memory (RAM) 256 MB
Operating System Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
Operating System Version 5.1.2600
I'm trying to reinstall Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1
cause I'm missing some files. But I ran into a problem It won't let me
reinstall it. I get this message. The software you are installing has
not passed windows logo testing to verify it compatibility with
windows XP. What do I do?

The four instances in which you can reinstall Windows XP SP1 are listed here. You cannot simply install it over itself. If you are missing files you should be able to replace them with System File Checker (go to Start|Run, type sfc /scannow and click OK). If this does not work, you also have the option of expanding them from the XP or XP SP1 CD.
