Problem with streaming video

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but here's my problem.

Everytime I'm on a website that streams a video using Windows Media Player, only the first frame shows up and stops but the sound keeps going.

I've recently upgraded to Media Player 10 and installed SP2.  I don't remember having this issue before that.  Is there a setting I can change to fix this?  Real Player site streams are fine.  Only WMP is giving me trouble.  Thanks in advance.

wmp 10 works ok for me, but i do have a minor problem with it..

you can rollback wmp 10 to wmp 9 in "add/remove".. just run the uninstall for wmp 10 in "add/remove" and it will roll back to wmp 9..

you could try adjusting the settings, in tools/options/performance/advanced.. try turning off "use overlay"..

doing a clean reinstall of win xp et al could possibly straighten things out..

what video drivers are you using? radeon? someone said once that the radeon drivers did not work right with wmp 10, but i don't know.. i use radeon drivers, and, like i said, i have a minor problem where, sometimes, when i try to adjust the picture using the video controls in wmp 10, the picture messes up..

Actually, the "Use Overlay" option was already off to begin with for me.  I'm using the latest nVidia drivers.  I hope I won't have to do a clean install of WMP...
