problem with SWF files

Hi,

I am having INSPIRON E1505 system with XP professinal installed on that.....i have some study tutorials in swf format. so for viewing those tutorials, i have downloaded adobe shockwave player for viewing .swf files...i used to run it on real player 10.

...Upto some days it was showing me perfectly without any disturbance in video or audio but from last couple of days when i have tried to run those files in real player 10 which i was using earlier to view/hear it and unfortunately i am uanble to hear anything. i havent done any major or minor changes on my system......still i am unable to hear anything from those videos....i can very well view and hear other movie files and other visible audible stuff but cant get any voice from these tutorials....i have tried some of the codecs again and running it in different players but still i am unable to get the sound for .swf tutorials....

This is something very erratic for me as i am  cant use these videos....somebody help me on this...

thanks in advance.

Scanned for malware lately?

If this is a recent problem, you could do a System Restore to last date available when things were ok. Personal files won't be lost, but any Microsoft updates or other software originally installed after the date used for the Restore will have to be reinstalled.

Click Start>help&Support
Click "Undo changes..."
Follow prompts and pick latest date when you know it was ok. Assuming that fixes the problem, immediately go to MS update site and let it scan your system for missing updates.

Yes i have done the system restoration and also loaded the previously loaded softwares but it didnt work. I am havng zonealarm security suite installed on my Machine also AVG antispyware so i keep on scanning for the things once a week atleast...
still not getting the audio.....
i have tried to use some of the codec pacs like K-lite full version and also tried running it on different players but its not working somehow.....

If required i can send the driver details and everything.....but i need to fix up the things.....

Try uninstalling (add/remove programs control panel) and then reinstalling the latest version of the player.

Or, you can download latest free Adobe Shockwave Player
And, latest free Adobe Flash Player

After you've installed them, restart your browser and go here to test that they work correctly:
Test Shockwave and Flash Players

These are plug-ins for your browser to allow it to play certain types of video files, and use features of some websites, including on this forum to access "Resources" in lower lefthand corner.
