Problem with Windows XP SP2

Question

I have a Dimension XPS Gen 2 System.  Several times I have downloaded Windows XP Service Pack 2; after it installs, all of my USB ports cease to function!  When I restore to the point previous to installation of SP2, all my USB ports are again functioning.  Has anyone else had this problem with a Dell system, and if so, any advice on how to get those ports functioning again under SP2? Thanks for your help!:smileyvery-happy:

Hey hey hey--I followed the first link to Microsoft Knowledge Base, printed off the article, installed SP2, followed the article's directions, and voila!  The USB ports work!  I just had to update one driver!  Thanks so much for helping me out!!! :robotvery-happy:
