problem

hello the other night my fiance downloaded a thesme that had viruses in it  i tried to remove most of the vfigrus but now she can't connect to the internet  she keeps getting hthat her LAN's connection is limited or no connectivity..
 
she got a thing that poppedup saying somehting about RUndll?  is this a program i need? if so where can i get it

The run.dll error will be connected to the virus.  Please post the whole error message as it will help identify the problem.

In the meantime download the following program to install and run on her machine.

Did you get the name of the virus?
When we see the error message there will probably be more for you to do to fix it

For the lack of internet connectivity problem, try downloading and running winsockfix for Windows XP from the Here and if that doesn't work try lspfix from Here.

For the rundll problem, download, install, update, and run the free versions of Ad-Aware and Spybot and let these programs remove all of the garbage that they find.

If these programs don't solve the problem, go Here and follow the directions to download and run the analysis tool called HijackThis. Generate a log file, then open it and copy and paste the text of the log file in a message in the HijackThis forum where a HijackThis expert can offer advice on how to fix the problem:

that sutff worked for th emost part   now it says that she is connected but can't load up any website or anything.  cox tech support says its a firewall but i don't have any up  any ideas?
