Problems after downloading windows xp

Question

My computer crashed 3 days ago and I've been having problems ever since. I reloaded windows xp and internet explorer works but unable to download anything else off cd. I get an error message . the screen freezes as soon as it starts. I'm thinking of downloading SysProtect. does anyone know anything about this software and does it work?

What type of reinstall did you do?  Clean (wiped the drive) or a repair.

I did it with the help of a Dell tech. I'm not real sure but I was able to retreive all my digital pics, so probably a repair??

You can't download from a CD, 'you copy or install from a CD'.  Are you trying to say you can not access the internet?
