problems downloading drivers from Dell site

I am presently having major trouble with my laptop booting and think the problem is with the BIOS or video drivers. When I try to download the drivers from the dell site it downloads a file of approximately 10 KB and when I try to open it I get a message that no file was downloaded. This is somewhat urgent for me as I am working in El Salvador with limited support and the computer is pretty darn important.

OS: Vista, SP 1

Computer model M1330

Browser: Firefox

Any help would be greatly apprreciated.

thanks in advance.

First delete all cookies in your browser. Then click on support on the top of this page and click on drivers downloads enter in you service tag or model. Select your operating system and begin to download your drivers. When you click on the drivers you want to download click on the second choice web browser only and you will get the file on your desktop to install.

I am having a similar problem. The download file keeps popping up and downloading over and over. Even though the download manager is already installed. On my other computer I tried to download the same files but it keeps popping up that it cant establish a network connection. And there is nothing wrong with my connection.

Don't use the Download Manager (unless you really want to).  Clear your cookies (or the ones from Dell.com) and then choose to download "Via Web Browser".  Or, make a note of the address of the file and just go to ftp.dell.com.

It wont give me that option. I went as far as uninstalling the download manager and trying to use the browser download and it just reloads the dell download manager again. I have used this program before with the same computer without problems but now it wont work.
